All of us are incidentally forced to stay at home due to lockdown 2.0. While everyone is locked in their home, it is best to know some ways to stay fit during quarantine. You can adopt these tactics to stay fit and healthy without leaving your home.

We know many of you are taking advantage of being at your home. It is giving you casual vibes to eat whatever you want. But, remember that staying at home doesn’t mean that you have to give up on your healthy eating routine and exercise. There are a lot of training tools even at your home to stay fit and strong.

Are you wondering what can you do to stay healthy, even after being at your home? Well here are some easy home workout tips that will help you.

Positive Attitude

The most important point while being at home during the lockdown phase is to keep a positive attitude. Shove yourself with lots of willpower to combat unforeseen circumstances. If you are dedicated to exercise and you know the importance of it, then you will eventually figure out a way to include it in your routine. You cannot even make a defense to delay your workout routine as it holds utmost importance for you.

We are going to list down some best exercises, which will help you stay in action and fit during the lockdown or quarantine phase. You don’t need any machines or equipment for this workout routine. So, we will majorly focus on your body and the things you have at home. So, without any further ado let’s get started with this easy-breezy home workout routine.

Wall Squats

The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research has published a report that squats help to strengthen your lower body muscles. They also help with knee function. We generally recommend doing squats by taking the support of the wall.

To do this exercise place your back upright straight against the wall. Now go down to a 90-degree angle with your legs. Hold the position for 15 seconds to make this exercise work. Once the resistance is built in your body and glutes hold it for about 30 seconds to one minute. Repeat this exercise four times a day.

Push-Ups

Push-ups are one of the most popular exercises that help to strengthen your core and upper body. Since you are in a lockdown and want your whole body to be strong, this exercise is a great addition to your lifestyle. There are many ways to do push-ups and some are more lenient than others. It is better to start with knee pushups if your body is not used to a lot of resistance.

Place your hands and knees on the floor and flex your arms and move downwards so that your chest comes close to the ground. Now, slowly move upwards and repeat this exercise for 12 reps of 4 sets each.

Plank

Research shows that planks are an exceptional exercise to build your core strength and muscles. It also adds resistance to your body making it tough than ever. It is best as it works on your abs and improves the endurance of your spine. Planks have unknown benefits as they strengthen your arms and legs too.

The classic planks ask you to rest on your forearms and the balls of your feet. Your back should be straight and your core muscle should be tight and firm. Hold the plank position for 30–60 seconds. Build the resistance and increase your time.

Buttocks Strengthening

Buttocks strengthening is a must as it tones your thigh muscles and provides an appealing shape to your butts.

Begin this exercise by keeping your hands and knees on the floor. Now lift one leg upwards so that your butts, thighs, and rest of the body is at a ninety-degree angle. Now return to the starting position. Repeat these 4 sets of 15 reps each in each leg.

Burpees

Without leaving home in the lockdown, burpees will help you stay fit and healthy. It is a resistance exercise that boosts your stamina. You don’t need any equipment for this exercise, but you do require a lot of physical strength to do this exercise. If you live an inactive lifestyle then, start with a few burpees and then jump on 10–20 reps in each set.

Start burpees by standing up and go down to a squat position until you touch the ground with your hands and feet. Go upwards and stretch your arms. Repeat this exercise for a total of 4 sets of 15 reps each.

It’s time to take some rest and switch to a balanced diet. Highlight the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet during this lockdown phase. Make sure to eat all the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs.

A diet rich in nutrients is the best way to stay healthy and fit. It also takes care of your figure. What do you do to stay fit and healthy in quarantine? Do let us know. Until next time stay tuned for more fitness tips.
